Sometimes the request is more general in nature, such as the fill for a gabion basket to create a retaining wall for a bank. Some of these can be functional using a fill of 2-4” clean or screeded hardcore. Others are looking for a more aesthetic finish so face the baskets with small hedging or garden walling stone and then backfilled with a cheaper material.

Other requests are more on the small scale such as a basket of rockery stone we supplied to Alex @ Garden Refresh – Landscape designs at Newton Abbott, where he used some of the stone to update the front of a modern property.

Specifically selected rockery stones have been supplied to customers as a feature in a garden bed or smaller ones edging to a grass verge.

Stonemasons such as Mark Nichols – Cornish Stonework are often commissioned to create something bespoke and unique for the clients they work for. They maybe working the stone to place spirals in a wall or mixing materials for a garden feature like no other.

We can also supply topsoil, paving and various aggregates to complete the look that you are going for.
